Pho Tien is a really great restaurant for pick up, the food is always hot, always excellent . The Pho is very tasty and just about everything I have had has been excellent. 2 areas make this place not a 5 star location. Slow service and a general lack of attention to details. There is always a TV on with E! on that the waitress wants to watch, and although the food is excellent you have to wait quite a while to be waited on typically. Still, excellent food if you don't have high expectations of service. My wife and I prefer to do pickup to enjoy the great food without having to wait around to get it! Also, they have free WiFi available that works quite well, parking can be a challenge but it's usually worth it, :)

Started with the fried dumplings... very tasty! Delicious Vermicelli Chicken salad! Hubby liked his soup too! Staff is very nice. The place is modest but the food is very good.

I love the curry noodles here! I haven't had a chance to try their pho yet, so I cannot comment on its authenticity. The noodles, however, are delicious!

This place was really not good at all. I had the pho and it was luke warm at best. The herbs for the pho looked like they were picked out of the trash and served to us. Rice plate was cold. And yes, service was really poor. All I have to say is overpriced and overrated.

Very fresh preparation of food, of course I opted for the lettuce wraps and vegetarian spring rolls. Reminisced about my time at the Ritz-Carlton in Houston and having lettuce wraps with fresh Thai basil, cilantro and fish sauce for lunch (in the back, not served to guests.) 25% of the culinary staff were from Asia...My kids are excited about this place. Will agree with other reviews regarding the room for improvement with cleanliness. Although the food is great....prices reasonable to what I am accustomed to paying...one of the few places I'll go to in LC. My list has shrunk, and my boys don't need to be persuaded to go here...

For the locals in Lake Charles looking to get some pho, you're better off going to Asia at Lauberge or some place else. When I walked into this place, my dad and I had to seat ourselves and even get our utensils! It is a family owned restaurant and the owner's daughters here are lazy and snotty that are forced to go to work by their parents. This place has the worst service and worst pho ever. $11 for a bowl of pho? You've got to be kidding me. Trust me, I'm Vietnamese and have been eating pho all of my life at all sorts of places. Anyone that thinks this place is good obviously have never eaten pho anywhere else.

Pho Tien is the best pho place in Lake Charles! It also seems to be the only pho place in Lake Charles. The pho here is just bad. The meat is always too tough, and the broth lacks flavor. It tastes more like a bowl of MSG than anything else. The veggies in the pho all seem old, as if they've been stewing in there for days. I order large size bowls, but they are tiny with only a little bit of meat and noodles. On top of that, the service is slow, which doesn't make a lot of sense. Pho is typically made before you get there, so by the time you order, it's ready. Oh, and the place is pretty dingy, but not the kind of dingy where it's like "omg this is going to be an awesome and delicious hole in the wall". It's just dingy. I really do not have anything positive to say about this place. It gets 1 extra star for being the only pho-dedicated restaurant in the area, providing me with the necessary soup to get over the occasional cold. That is Pho Tien's only merit.

Fresh spring rolls; very big; served with peanut sauce. Their fried fish with rice is great. Everything is good.

Their green curry soup here along with their fresh spring rolls are great. Windex and more bus boys would help!

The only "authentic" Vietnamese restaurant in town besides the one located in the casino. I've been here a few times and have tried the grilled pork spring rolls, the Pho, Shaken beef, the curry noodles, and the vermicelli with grilled pork and egg rolls. Everything here tastes authentic enough, but I've had better. It's just decent and if you're just looking for that quick "vietnamese" fix then their selection of different dishes will certainly do. The service is a little on the slow side. The times I've been there, I was pretty much the only person in the restaurant. Prices are somewhat reasonable being the only real vietnamese restaurant in town, but compared to other cities with numerous competing vietnamese restaurants then it would be considered expensive. Overall I think this place is just "decent". I would probably go back if I'm in the area and craving for vietnamese foods.

Curry soup is now officially my favorite soup!!! The pad Thai is good not the best but that may be because I got it to go and couldn't eat it immediately. The spring rolls confuse me. Perhaps my pallat isn't sophisticated enough but the peanut sauce that comes with them is delicious. CURRY SOUP! and lettuce wraps will be my go to from now on.

Spring rolls arw good but other than that the place is pretty average and food is very inconsistent and service is terrible went in to pick up togo and there was a long line with no one being help and noone at the front desk for a good five minutes if I wasnt a good Samaritan I would have just walked out and they wouldnt be non the wiser and pretty expensive for average Vietnamese food.

The best! There is no better vietnamese food in the south. Friends from Houston drive just for the food.

This place is gross. Sticky tables. Not fresh ingredients. The bun Bo hue is supposed to be a rich and dark red broth. It was just pho broth with like a tablespoon of bun bo hue broth. Yeah no bueno

I have eaten here a couple times and the food isn't too bad. It's not like eating true Vietnamese food. Restaurant isn't the cleanest for the area of town that it's located in either. I called to to pick up an order 30 minutes prior to the time I was going to leave my house. When I actually got to the restaurant the cashier was too busy looking or a fork that I waited another 25 minutes before she said one word to me. At this point I was ready to walk out. There was no apology for making me wait so long to pay for my order and leave. It was the worst experience that I have ever received as a customer anywhere.

The food is ok, not anything great. The service is okay too. You order at the counter first, and food is brought out to you. The lady at the counter is usually friendly, but sometimes impatient. I always get the shaking beef, but I've it at other places, and this place doesn't compete.

Great pho with an amazingly complex broth, and the grilled pork chops are fantastic too. The Tien's special is great to try if you are new to Vietnamese food since it has a little of everything, including a fried egg and some Chinese sausage. The pad Thai includes generous amounts of chicken, shrimp, and spice. The service is good and the food makes it worth the trip to the congested South Lake Charles area.

I ate myself sick on the Pho! Way better than Asia at L'Auberge any day! The food was really hot! Which is the exact opposite of Asia, their pho is lukewarm. Portion sizes are fairly liberal.
